I, too, think its a great idea...have been trying to get people to help me with this since Moms of Modoc was started last summer. I have flyers and cans almost ready to pass out to businesses around town. I have asked a few people and they are willing to put them on their front counters. I will get them printed up today while I'm in Klamath.
I dont think we should have a vote right now..the group is really small. How about we all get the guidelines from the previous Moms Clubs that we have been apart of and then write up our own.
Some positions that we should have would be:1.Meeting Coordinator-for our once a month mommy General Meeting for the entire group. ie have a dentist come in and talk to all of us about dental hygene in our kids, a doctor about activity, a teacher about kindergarten readiness, other stuff we may want to know
2.Social Coordinator-for the monthly group calendar. ie fire station tours, pizza tours, park days. I still think the playgroups should be on their own in deciding what they want to do week to week.
3.Publicity-for getting the word out there ( I would like to do that one:) )
4.Playgroup Coordinator-someone to help people form playgroups or to tell people of the playgroups already formed. (Heather mentioned that she would like to do that)
5.In-A-Pinch Coordinator-puts meals together for moms in the group who have babies or hardships.
6.Forum Moderator-Amanda is already that. lol
What do you all think? Course, we would all meet once a month to discuss the next months stuff and to get others on the Steering Committee to help out. In the Chico Mothers Club that meeting was always an hour before the General Meeting. As you all know, I will be out of town the entire month of May but I can discuss stuff via email. Then we can have a whole meeting in June when I get back.

I have sooooo wanted this group to take off...soooooo very badly! I'm sure it will help us all next year get thru the hard and long winter. It was sure a lonely one!!!
